Course Description

Do you really understand what causes lower back pain & sciatica? Almost everyone at some point in their lives will suffer with low back pain, from the sedentary office worker, to pregnant women, school children carrying heavy bags to school and builders - this amazing day with Joanne Perkins Reg. Osteopath will equip you with the knowledge and skills to be a more effective massage therapist

Low back pain is the second most common cause of long-term sickness in the UK after stress. About 7.6 million working days were lost due to work-related back pain in 2012. The most common causes of back pain are strained muscles or ligaments, wear and tear, bad posture, facet joint strains, disc problems and piriformis syndrome. This course will teach you how to recognize these different causes of low back pain and how to treat them

Note: If you have already completed our Advanced Massage 1 or 2 courses there will be an element of revision on this course
